Jurassic World is coming *Raptor screech* and it’s safe to say me and my bestie are rather excited about this fact, and if you’re not excited by this fact just yet then this tasty treat should do the Trick. So to get us even more in the mood she had the best idea. DeanoDino cookies!!

Ingredients:

225g/8oz softened butter

140g/5oz caster sugar

1 egg yolk beaten lightly

Half a tsp of vanilla extract

280g/10oz plain flour

Pince of salt

Step one.

Place butter and sugar into a large bowl and beat together until light and fluffy.

Step two.

Beat in egg yolk and vanilla extract.

Step three.

Sift in the flour and salt and stir until thoroughly combined.

Step four.

Next you’ll want to halve the dough and shape into balls before wrapping in cling film and leaving to chill for 30-60mins.

Step five.

Preheat your oven and line your trays with baking paper.

Step six.

Unwrap your dough and roll out between two sheets of baking paper until your desired thickness. Avoid going too thin and your dinos will burn

Step seven.

Get that cookie cutter and go nuts!! Roll. Cut. Place on tray. Repeat. Place into oven for 10-15mins of till golden brown.

Step eight.

Once cooked, place onto a wire tray to cool before decorating.

To decorate we used royal icing and water and using a piping bag to apply to our dinosaurs, to help fill in gaps use a cocktail stick, or a length of uncooked spaghetti. Whatever’s handy, we won’t judge. I think they look more like Raptors and find it kinda odd that he’s only got one leg. Alice screams in the background “It’s his profile!” See you in the next post.
